Strikhedonia, for me, is the exhilarating joy of breaking free from my comfort zones and fearlessly embracing new adventures, even when others don’t understand why I do it. One of my favorite expressions of Strikhedonia is through solo dates. They allow me to explore the world on my own terms—whether it’s wandering through my city alone or indulging in a leisurely meal at a nice restaurant, these moments of solitude are incredibly precious to me.
Some may find it unconventional, but I deeply appreciate the independence and freedom that solo dates offer. When plans with others fall through or when I simply crave some me-time, I’ll just go alone on these personal adventures. Whether it’s immersing myself in art at a museum or enjoying a quiet moment at sunset, I relish the chance to connect with myself and my surroundings without distractions.
Far from feeling isolated, these solo adventures are liberating. They remind me that my personal fulfillment and growth are not contingent upon the opinions or presence of others. Instead, I find immense joy in embracing solitude and pursuing activities that bring me fulfillment and joy. The freedom of Strikhedonia empowers me to prioritize my own happiness and well-being, even if others may not understand it.
