In this episode, Devora Krasnianski speaks with Dr. Omrit Silberstein about sleep in midlife.
excerpt: “You don’t want to worry in bed. You don’t want to be anxious in bed. You also don’t want to just be relaxed in bed. You want to be sleeping in bed. If you’re not sleeping, you shouldn’t be in bed. The bed is just for sleep. If your mind is racing, leave your bed. Do something productive, distract somehow, watch a movie, do something else. Read a. Don’t let your mind race in bed, but you can’t really make it stop. Right. So when you say read a book or watch a movie, but not in bed, like go someplace else to read the book.”
We also talk about anxiety, exercise, meditation, eating and more – as relates to sleep.
