Organizing and Decluttering all that Stuff

In this episode, I spoke with Rebekka Saltzman of BalaganBeGone about organizing and decluttering our stuff. By the time we reach midlife, most of us have accumulated a lot of stuff. Even if it is organized, it’s still a lot of stuff, and all that can clutter our homes and even our minds. We might have our stuff, our kids’ stuff, and sometimes even stuff we inherited. In other words, lots of stuff. Some of it we need, but much of it is “just in case,” or things we haven’t gotten around to sifting through in years.

Rebekka shares some important practical tips and mindset shifts about holding on to or passing on our stuff. She guides us on what to keep, what to let go of, and how to store everything efficiently so we can find them quickly when we need them. We explored various scenarios like holding onto our kids’ belongings, saving items for future grandchildren, and what makes sense to buy in bulk even when there are fewer people at home, and what doesn’t.
